Shapiro Joyal Studio designed the interiors of a Hollywood writer-director's home in one of LA architect Lorcan O’Herlihy's West Hollywood multi-family gems. The home is perfect for entertaining family and guests.
Considered the penthouse of the innovative complex, the home was designed in true Shapiro Joyal fashion. The interiors are modern and simple, yet strong with a focus on great textures and color balance. Leslie was able to blend the striking green color of the exterior and garden with highly saturated colors. The light-filled atrium in the center of the space allowed for immense natural light that dictated the casual, breezy environment.
The cozy living room includes Leslie’s signature October sofa and chair, orange otto-to-go (ottoman), and sirk side table, which establish the modern mood. Highlighted with orange, browns and yellows, the living room merges playful colors with Leslie’s furniture brilliantly. Leslie designed a custom Kings Road Sofa and Side Table, which sit next to a Totem Bookcase in the dining room extension, overlooking the room’s floor-to-ceiling windows. The home's master bedroom is similarly decorated in bright hues that balance and accentuate the natural play of color in the garden nook.
