At La Piada, a small bar on Uraniastrasse in Zurich, in the heart of District 1, Pfeffermint reinterprets the essence of Italian joy of life. The design language of the piadina – a circle folded into a semicircle – characterizes both the branding developed by Pfeffermint and the floor pattern. In keeping with the client's wishes, the color scheme was inspired by vintage cars.
The defining main color, a matte aubergine, is intended to give the space a sense of timelessness and elegance and create an atmosphere that invites guests to linger and enjoy themselves. The high ceilings lend the space a feeling of openness, while natural materials such as wood, softly textured surfaces, and subtle metallic accents provide a harmonious grounding.
Pfeffermint not only designed the space and corporate design, but also developed a custom-made stool: a sculptural, stackable piece of furniture that echoes the circles and semicircles. La Piada is a bar with character: an urban retreat where Italian lightness meets Zurich precision and every moment is a little piece of La Dolce Vita.
