To Live

L'Antico Forno began as a small-scale project with an ambitious goal: to revitalize a space in the heart of the historic center—once home to one of the town’s bars—and transform it into a contemporary bakery-brasserie.

The design challenge was concentrated within just 18 square meters: integrating the retail space of the historic bakery while simultaneously creating an area to seat customers. Within this compact, confined space, the strategy relied on color and finishes, used as spatial tools to differentiate functions and expand the perception of the environment.

The two areas are clearly distinguished: the dining area is framed by a black-and-white pattern of vertical lines, while the retail space is defined by a bold, intense yellow, designed to catch the eye from the storefront and draw in passersby. The entire space is contained within a neutralized shell, built around a neutral tone that expands the space and enhances the color contrasts.
