Located in one of Oslos most vibrant streets, this project reimagines the traditional clinic typology through an architectural lens rooted in atmosphere and sensory experience. As Oslo’s first needle-free beauty clinic, Laserlab draws inspiration from Korean skincare traditions, with a concept guided by principles of balance, harmony, and a holistic approach to wellness.

Central to this vision was the desire to redefine the threshold between clinic and street, transforming the traditional perception of a secluded, introverted skincare space into one that is open, transparent, and inviting. The reception area, an accessible showroom that not only highlights the clinic’s curated product selection but also extends an invitation to passersby to step inside and linger. Integrated seating and thoughtful spatial flow encourage visitors to pause and engage, making the clinic feel less like a hidden retreat and more like an integral, welcoming part of the urban fabric.

The design vision emphasized cohsion and functionality, achieved through bespoke elements and a commitment to sustainable, natural materials. Terracotta, natural stone,wood, and steel form the core material palette, resulting in a refined and minimalist spatial character. Natural daylight and soft, tones create an atmosphere of quiet elegance, where stillness and bold design flow together in a seamless relationship.
