The design and name of Luna is no coincidence. An ode to the past for those who remember a "Luna Park" hey day kind of mission. While the designs do not directly reflect the old space, we took inspiration from the whimsy and neighborhood feel Luna Park embodied. With a beautiful bounce of pattern play, rich textures and a sort of parisian brasserie color palette, the design's of Luna come to life.

A combination of surprising moments are created with a rich navy plaster wall in contrast to a deep red, slightly baroque hand printed wallpaper, layered with urban photography and subtle highlights of chartreuse pops throughout the space. Large surfaces are covered in angled mirrors to juxtapose the subtle curves added to the bar and magical custom lighting adds to a romantic feeling. Our design intent was to achieve a sweet spot between grit, authenticity and dreamy memories. A space that truly reflects the beauty of the mission and the uniqueness of San Francisco past, present and future.
