Madeo Office

Studio COSMO as Architects

Located in famous industrial city Zlin, Madeo’s office was extended and revamped to suit the demands of their growing team. Blending nordic design with the flair of industrial city, we aimed to create an inspirational space encouraging collaboration between employees. Clients’s dark visual identity inspired us to work with dusky shades of grey and blue. Materiality is inspired by house’s metal façade cladding.

Carefully balanced floor plan providing open-office areas as well as soundproof focus rooms was designed by Studio COSMO to fit 45 digital designers and developers. The heart of the office is formed around bar & lounge area with access to the big roof terrace with a magnificent view of Zlin, where the team holds weekly yoga sessions. Steel bar table with overhead shelves draw attention when entering the lounge area. Both floors are accommodated with metal partitions and custom made metal details.

Given very long and narrow floor plan, we aimed to connect two different floors both socially and spatially. Using extensive dark blue coloring, we created gateway of stairs and corridors to connect both floors.

Following the the trend of IoT, over 100 connected smart bulbs are programmed to provide natural light throughout the day automatically adjusting the colour temperature and intensity based on the time of the day and outdoor conditions. During special occasions, the lighting adds atmosphere using more expressive colors.
