MAROOCHY RIVER HOUSE

Sarah Waller Architecture as Architects

This stunning house located on the southern banks of the winding Maroochy River, has been designed to maximise the connection to the site, while taking in the surrounding panoramic views across the river to Mount Ninderry to the North Western aspect as well as views across to Mount Coolum in a Northerly direction. The house sits majestically on a raised pad to meet the flood plain requirements  which only enhances the range of the breathtaking outlook. The layout caters to family life, with an open plan design and inclusive feel to shared spaces, with a strong indoor/outdoor connection. The pool area has been designed around family entertaining and is one of the many hero spaces of the design.

Set upon an elevated building pad, and surrounded by rolling natural landscape, the house is situated perfectly to take in the spectacular views, and benefit from breezes passing through the valley. The rural surrounds provide the perfect backdrop for the new family home. The architecture is timeless, understated, and welcoming, with clean crisp lines against the natural backdrop of the stunning site.
