Step inside the communal area This Art Deco apartment building occupies an entire block overlooking the private Bryanston Square gardens, it is both imposing and majestic and dates from the Transitional period from Art Nouveau to Art Deco – beautiful features within the interior that we chose to celebrate include the black lacquer columns and architraves, metal balustrading and window frames, the endless examples of beautiful geometry and the features that take us back to a golden age of luxury in apartment buildings such as gilded post-boxes and capitals.

We utilised a modest number of finishes such as venetian plaster, lacquer paint, marble, bespoke wool carpet and metallic paint but in a variety of textures allowing us to show a respect for the period of the building whilst allowing the polished level of luxury that the residents required of a Marylebone apartment we renovated featuring beautiful Art Deco details.
