The ancient Trambacche Mill, dating back to the 11th century and located along the Bacchiglione River, was removed in 1912 to improve river navigation. Today, only a few submerged traces remain, together with the millers’ house, which was first restored by Giorgio Macrelli in the 1980s and subsequently rehabilitated following the river’s most recent flood in 2014.

The intervention by Studio Architettura Tommasi involves the restoration of the ground-floor spaces and the surrounding park, enhancing the site’s historical heritage and strengthening the relationship between architecture and the riverside landscape.
