'MY CHOICE, Seochon' is a lifestyle concept store showcasing a carefully curated selection of subtle, refined tastes. The space gathers craft-based objects ranging from furniture, lighting, and glassware to artwork, mobiles, books, and stationery.
The underlying concept of 'MY CHOICE' is 'A House within a House'. This stems from the belief that a home is a personal sanctuary—a physical representation of oneself created through the accumulation of individual tastes.
The 1st floor is organized in a C-shaped layout centered around an inner courtyard. Treating the exterior approach as an extension of the home itself, a broad platform was placed between the yard and the building to evoke the warm feeling of stepping into a private residence.
Upon entering the foyer, a counter is positioned to the left, while the remaining two wings display handcrafted glassware and lifestyle goods. The central courtyard was intentionally left open and empty rather than filled with permanent installations, allowing it to function as a flexible, adaptable space that evolves with seasonal shifts and new collection displays.
On the basement level, three distinct 'houses' were built to shape the atmosphere of a intimate neighborhood alley. One house functions as a bar serving beverages; another serves as a living room anchored by a large bookshelf; the final house represents a collaborative workspace.
Together, the bar, living area, and office form a cohesive streetscape. Visitors walking through these narrow passages, lined with furniture placed along the alleyways, naturally experience the core narrative of 'MY CHOICE' - exploring a house within a house.
One's personal taste represents who they are, and the collective expression of these individual attitudes enriches the cultural landscape of Seoul. 'MY CHOICE' aspires to be a space that awakens personal aesthetic sensibilities while serving as a compelling cultural destination that highlights the modern character of Seoul.
