Negin Roof Garden

Design Idea:

Our approach was to create a space that combines elements of Iranian architecture with modern architectural features. In this project, the reinforced structure was preserved as a prominent façade, while brick coverings on the roof were used as a symbol of Iranian architecture, reminiscent of the forgotten Iranian architectural style. The maximum connection between the interior and exterior of the project was achieved through the incorporation of large glass panels, along with the use of clay surfaces on the interior and exterior walls. This approach resulted in a unique blend of classical and Lompenmab-style architecture in the Zafaranieh district.

Project Innovations and Advantages:

- Exclusive and intricate design details specific to this project were developed due to numerous construction constraints on the 12-story rooftop tower.
- Innovative engineering solutions were implemented, including:
Designing and installing customized heating and cooling systems in the project's floor to preserve the precious brickwork.

Utilizing a heat recovery system to utilize the heat output from the engine room chimney for melting snow on the 400-square-meter rooftop area.
Adapting the existing structure (prior to renovation) to the renovation plan was a challenging and complex process, as the current structure lacked suitable elements related to the tower's construction. However, suitable solutions were found, making the adaptation possible.

Key existing values of the building:

The existing building lacked architectural and engineering values as it was constructed with non-standard lightweight structures. After the renovation, the building not only reflects elements of Iranian architecture but also performs optimally and efficiently.
