Flansburgh Architects as Architects

New England Handicapped Sports Association (NEHSA) was founded in 1972 as a non-profit organization run by and for individuals with disabilities who wanted to enjoy active and independent lives through participation in sports. Through day-long working sessions with NEHSA’s diverse membership, Flansburgh Architects developed and designed an adaptive sports facility that embraces people with disabilities, not just accommodates them. The interior topography of the building and its site location allow disabled skiers to get out to the chairlifts and in from the ski slopes without assistance on Mount Sunapee, NH.
