Panamby Apartment

Diego Revollo Arquitetura as Architects

This 170 square meter apartment is located in Panamby,
a premium neighborhood in São Paulo. It belongs to a young couple with 2 children who live a modern lifestyle. In the original project there was a large balcony running the entire length of the living room.

length of the living room. But as São Paulo's climate is very unstable, we suggested that this space become part of the living room, closing off the balcony with glass and using the same architectural finishes throughout. With the balcony closed, a large window was created, flooding the space with light.

Based on this light and the personality of the owners, a light floor was chosen, the raw navona travertine marble, which has a modern finish that highlights the irregularities of the stone that was set in large stones. The light from the window and the floor was designed in a clean structure. There are no details in the ceiling or on the walls, and the absence of footnotes gives the impression that the walls are floating. The lighting was concentrated in slots with trails of light. And so that the structure wouldn't look cold, all the joinery was made from natural wood, American oak, in a light honey color. With the light, neutral structure, it was possible to bring more striking elements into the decor.

In the decoration. The starting point for the decoration was the television area without the traditional home theater room. To harmonize the television in the living room, designer chairs were chosen in strong colors. The color "bright yellow" was therefore a consequence of the space, the personality of the clients and also the design of the chair. To harmonize this striking wall ensemble consisting of a television, armchairs and a stainless steel frame, the other furniture was chosen in shades of grey and beige, always interspersed with wood. For the other decorative items, yellow armchairs also guided the design, using the same tones or shades of wood and gold to complement the neutral set.

set in a neutral way. The result is light and bright and, at the same time, shows the joy and personality of the owners.

The rest of the apartment's rooms reflect the same modern concept. For the kitchen, green glass tiles were used to form a "green box" (floor and wall) with wood. The environment is practical and reflects the lifestyle of the residents. In the bedroom, the purple headboard brings a unique combination of colors. Once again, the couple's personality contributed to a modern and unusual environment without losing the elements of a cozy bedroom.
