The installation was built to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hellowood architecture festival.

The Party Temple draws inspiration from South America's indigenious community of Yanomami. This isolated community inhabits circular timber and leaves structures deep in the rainforest. Rituals and events would take place in the centre of these structures. Party Temple recreated this approach into a large open-air temple in the countryside of Hungary as a communal venue to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Architectural festival & summer school  Hello Wood.

The project is made of eight identical wooden triangular modules.  Each module is made of three easy to build elements: a floor, a wall, and a roof. Arranged into a rigid octagon, the modules define a central gathering space. Sufficiently spaced modules hold the space together and at the same time project an invitation to all directions. The 12-meter wide interior space holds large group gatherings and celebrations, while the modules themselves offer a shaded refuge during a hot summer day and/or lit up dancing stages and DJ booth when the night falls.
