Nestled within a 1000 sq. ft. apartment boasting panoramic views of lush greenery, the TRIDENT project embodies a modern yet functional living space designed for a family of three—a couple and their 2-year-old daughter—while also accommodating occasional visits from the client’s parents. The clients approached us with a clear vision: a home that maximizes functionality without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. They specifically requested two primary bedrooms, leaving the third as a flexible space, all wrapped in a simple, subtle design that creates a sense of spaciousness.
Understanding the clients’ lifestyle revealed their love for hosting gatherings, which informed our approach to the design. To foster an inviting atmosphere, we proposed an open layout that removes the wall between the living room and a designated bedroom, transforming it into an expansive lounge area perfect for entertaining. This shift not only enhances the flow of the home but also creates a versatile space for family activities.
Upon entering the apartment, guests are greeted by a thoughtfully designed foyer that features minimalist storage solutions for shoes and belongings, complemented by a hanging light and space for a plant, setting a welcoming tone. The living room itself is a celebration of natural light and color. A custom-designed green sofa with an inverted arch backrest serves as a striking centerpiece against dual-tone pastel green and beige walls. A niche in the wall showcases unique textured art, handcrafted by one of the principal architects, while accents of black throughout the space offer a sophisticated balance to the vibrant color scheme.
Flowing seamlessly from the living room, the dining area features a bespoke table, crafted on-site with a cylindrical wooden base and a luxurious stone top. This area is enhanced by geometric artworks that create captivating shadows when illuminated, adding a dynamic quality to dining experiences. The minimalist puja unit, strategically located between the kitchen and dining area, optimizes space while maintaining an elegant aesthetic.
The kitchen, designed as a serene beige haven, caters to the clients’ functional needs while maximizing natural light through a larger opening to the living room. This design ensures the kitchen remains bright and inviting, encouraging family interaction during meal preparation.
Adjacent to the living area, the lounge room, framed in black wood on three sides, features a custom sofa perfect for movie nights. The warm beige walls create a cozy ambiance, adorned with hand-painted artwork that personalizes the space further.
The daughter’s room is a delightful blush pink paradise, featuring a sofa bed that maximizes floor space for play. A textured sliding wardrobe provides sensory engagement, while a dedicated study area ensures practicality. Ombre curtains transition from blush to white, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere, and the animal-themed wallpaper behind the bed inspires imaginative play.
The master suite embraces a minimalist design, showcasing a corner bed adorned with artistic accents. The wardrobe features stylish wallpaper and profile handles, adding to the room's tranquil ambiance.
In conclusion, the TRIDENT project beautifully balances functionality and aesthetic charm, crafting a versatile home that caters to the modern family’s lifestyle. Every element reflects the clients’ preferences, resulting in a harmonious blend of comfort and style that is both welcoming and practical.
