Located in the interior of São Paulo, Brazil, the "Rancho da Mata" was developed to cater not only to the functionality of the stables but also to promote interaction among people, horses, and nature. This project fulfills the dream of a family that values simplicity and efficiency, with a special "flair" — as described by the client herself.

In the implementation planning, a longitudinal axis was strategically drawn to serve as the main social access route, starting from the property boundary, where the entrance gate is located, leading directly to the stable. This route not only organizes circulation but also creates a visual experience with immediate contact with the animals through the side paddocks.

At the end of this axis is the main building, the stable, which stands out as the central point and protagonist of the space.

The project organization meticulously took care of functionality and circulation separation. The service access, located at the back of the main building, was designed to avoid undesirable crossings between guests' vehicles and supply and horse transport trucks. This area also houses storage areas and two staff residences, discreetly located to maintain visual harmony and the privacy of the owners and their guests.

A simple metal structure with a single-slope roof was chosen, minimizing construction costs and providing spacious, open stalls. The strategic positioning of the stables concerning the prevailing breeze takes advantage of cross ventilation, essential for the hot climate of Ribeirão Preto, ensuring the thermal comfort and health of the horses.

The integration of the horses with the external environment is a central premise of this project, allowing the animals to interact with the surroundings, observe seasonal changes, and feel the fresh breeze on their backs. The stalls, without high dividers, promote greater social interaction among the horses, ensuring their well-being and quality of life.

The choice of materials reflects the intention to harmonize the building with the landscape. The use of stone in the two main volumes emphasizes the centrality of the stables and offers low maintenance, ideal for the rural environment. The stone, along with wood, integrates into the natural setting, blending into the landscape.

The "Rancho da Mata" is an architectural project that balances functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics, while also demonstrating deep respect for horses, realizing the dream of its owners.
