RESTAURANT «RENÉ»

Located in the heart of the Carpathians, restaurant RENÉ opens panoramic views of the ski slopes, blending architecture with the landscape and transforming with the seasons.

A contemporary interpretation of chalet style for a modern mountain destination, the concept evolved throughout the process, balancing elegance, warmth, and comfort within the spatial context.

The interior is defined by contrast — wood and metal, softness and industrial rawness, classical references and contemporary expression — creating a layered environment that unfolds gradually.

The ceiling becomes a key spatial element, combining an industrial core, perimeter wooden coffers, and mirrored surfaces that enhance scale and depth.

Two sculptural entrances, inspired by Parisian storefronts, are formed in blackened metal and textured wood, connecting the lakeside promenade and ski slope for seamless seasonal access. Terraces extend the experience outdoors, maintaining a continuous dialogue with the Carpathian landscape.

The flooring unites chalet parquet, natural stone, and mosaic inserts into a structured composition around the main columns, each designed individually — from neoclassical forms with integrated lighting to exposed concrete framed in metal.

All lighting and furniture were custom-designed, combining classical chandeliers, contemporary crystal elements, and a copper accent above the wine display. A separate banquet room offers a more intimate atmosphere with a fireplace and sculptural lighting, while panoramic glazing opens the interior to the surrounding landscape.
