Savio Firmino is cooperating with the architect Jean Nouvel (JND) in occasion of the upcoming Edition of “Salone Ufficio”, organized by COSMIT during I Saloni Milan 2013.
The project of 1200 square meters shows the French architect’s future vision of the working space interiors. The office is turned into an inspiring place to make us feeling like at home while at work. A place without predefined rules where a touch of classic and humanity may smooth the tension peaks of the working hours.
This is something that Savio Firmino Company really cares. Since a long time the Florentine high end furniture manufacturer is having a section dedicated to Classical Office Furniture as part of its Collections.
Savio Firmino declines its solutions for Office Furniture by bringing up-to-date the Renaissance’s idea of a workplace fit for work as well as for relax, leisure and meditation. This comes in accordance with today’s working life requirements.
“Salone Ufficio” introduces a debate about the redefinition of the working spaces and induces a reflection about these themes. A "Contemporary" Project , yet involving a few Companies focused on traditional and artistic techniques and therefore in harmony with the environment and with the highest human ambitions.
The Project develops an up-to-date and flexible vision of the design where furniture tend to mix up in different but complementary styles out of any standard scheme.
Jean Nouvel (Pritzker Prize 2008 awarded and celebrated for the design of Quai Branly Museum, Cartier Foundation in Paris and Ferrari Workshop In Maranello), talking about this Project:
"To show a different concept for working spaces, we intentionally chose a classical apartment to put some offices there. This forces to live the spaces in their specific dimension. The rooms have different sizes, the desks are from different periods, furniture has different origins: industrial, antics etc..
We have the same feeling like entering a classic apartment and this makes us find out a different way of working. The offices are more cozy and more pleasant comparing to the large-scale, traditional ones. We spend just as much time in the workplace as we do at home and everyone should retain the right to enjoy some little pleasures such as light regulation, nice views, the possibility of showing his identity through the personal choice of the furniture and some decorative elements. Here I would like to present a project of freedom.”
Savio Firmino is proud to cooperate with an architect who demonstrated his talent balancing the architectural elements with the geographical, historical and cultural roots of the site. Jean Nouvel’s architecture is certainly respectful of the local traditions but it also has a view of the future, through the application of innovative working technology and machinery. The same philosophy also characterizes the products of the Florentine Company Savio Firmino.
