We were asked to design the new Sergio Rossi Stores Concept and Flagship Store in Via Spiga in Milano, a project where architecture and art meet fashion, able to offer a new shopping experience that blends perfectly with the Brand’s sensual and innovative identity.
An experiential boutique, a space where the fluidity of use prevails and where the product can manifest itself in its purest identity expressing the maximum creativity and quality.
The bold-design corner display case frames the stairs leading to the lower floor. A single-tone material box where the display furniture and seats interact with the elegant carpet and glazed ceramic tile. Black is back. The shoes are narrated through glass and mirror exhibition structures with black metal profiles, like jewels of inestimable value.
The project materializes a contemporary shopping experience, where the product is the protagonist within an architectural envelope where materiality, light, spatiality define new exhibition canons.
The Flagship overlooks via della Spiga, while the back is glazed on an internal courtyard - an internal staircase connects the ground floor with the floor -1 (for the exclusive use of staff) - the space, while not being fragmented and divided by partitions at full height, has been designed as divided into experiential areas characterized by different and complementary exhibition stands...
The colour selection consists of three colours: pale pink, black and white. In the last five years, pale pink has been the cornerstone of the brand’s identity: we have decided to preserve it by emphasizing continuity with the past. We introduced black, an absolute color code that allows all other colors to perform through their own brilliant identity. And white as a neutral backdrop, of rest and definition of surfaces and limits.
These colors are declined in different materials: black is declined on the floor in the carpet and tiles brushed by hand Giovanni de Maio - on the wall in glossy paint - in the metallic details painted glossy - in the furniture in matt painted.
Pink defines the architectural envelope through a material resin - it is found in the furnishings as matte paint and in some mirror surfaces.
Mirror and glass are other materials that define surfaces and volumes. -as the parapet case that defines the area of the staircase - and introduces a museum-type exhibition mode.
