When we visited the site, we had structural challenge because of multiple beams and columns in a very unusual manner.

Sicis has a vast variety of luxury living products such as floor & wall surfaces (mosaic, stone inlays, (glass), fabrics) furniture , lighting accessories etc. 

We collectively decided that we need to showcase all these products in such a manner that the client and their architects/designers would understand the correct use of these products . So the design concept of an Atelier Living I.e. live mock up of an entire apartment/villa was planned. 

We had to prepare a design presentation for the Project Manager of Sicis in 2 weeks time as he was to fly down to India just for a day . He was very happy with the presentation and it was decided that we would visit their factory in Ravenna , Italy for final selection & material palette . At their factory we made final selection of the products based on vast their collection  keeping in mind the India market .Their in house design team helped us in the selection process.

Once back ,we made the final working drawings based on the site conditions ( where the columns were a major hinderance and also the ceiling height was a bit low ) so we had to design in such a manner where the columns would get hidden and also the ceiling would not look very low . We made final renders of the entire showroom and the same was followed in the working process.

The material palette of Sicis is so rich that we had to take utmost care of not being carried away and do utmost justice to each and every product of theirs. 

Some of their flooring pattern like Cosmati ( Mandola pattern ) is so grand &intricate that we need to balance it well with their furniture pieces and subtle wall treatment. 

We also decided to keep the ceiling subtle & white in PoP finish so as to compliment the Colour of Sicis. 

We also decided to use Sicis Vetrie & Mosaic for wall panels , screens , library unit creatively in such a manner that the architects/designers would understand their multiple application. 

This showroom is more of an experience as the guest would get a feel of an entire living space ( Informal/Formal Living , Dining , Bar , Bedroom , Bathroom etc.) 

We designed the space in such a manner that the user would experience all their products in a very defined manner. 

Also the technical lighting here was a challenge because of the low height . We had to use track lights and accent lighting in few areas. 

Sicis is also very strong in decorative lights which also helped us to overcome this challenge. 

The project was halted for few months in the lockdown but we managed to complete the same on time . Overall it was a great learning experience for us with respect to the rich material of the company. 

Sicis Italy team have not visited the final showroom because of the pandemic , but have seen the photographs and were massively impressed and happy with the final outcome.
