Winning project of a private contest, the SSIAD Epinal is located on a desolate urban plot. Its location at the corner of two roads and topography were strong constraints which nourishes the project to achieve a fully integrated building. Built on two levels, the building spatially separates the administrative and operational parts of the project. Accessible from the street, the simple grey volume seems closed. It receives offices and meeting rooms that enjoy a large balcony with a view to the south of the city of Epinal. Downstairs, the ground-garden, the volume concrete half-buried welcomes spaces for nurses and are directly related to the parking area set in the heart of existing plantations. Both oriented in its site and inserted in the urban context, the SSIAD is a building remarkable and noticed for the simplicity of the solution to a complicated context.
