The Stargate was an idea that Claudio had in his mind for many years, and finally he had the opportunity to execute this project with the support of a Gallery in Altendorf, Switzerland. Together with his partner Richard Marti, they designed a very unique piece which can only be fully appreciated when opening the gate.
It opens with ease, and has an ambience which can only be described as magical. Sometimes Art is described as non functional, and without purpose, but actually Art in this way is something very special, as you get to touch it, appreciate it, and enjoy it on a daily basis. It’s an inviting statement on entering a property, or part of garden.
The columns and ramp that you see in the photos, are only props for the exhibition, it is designed to by fixed to a wall, or sit between 2 stone piers.
