The American School of Yaounde

ASOY’s main campus sits on a central hilltop location with sweeping views of the city of Yaounde. Its 3-1/2 acre campus serves an enrollment of 160 students in grades Pre-K through 12. The campus consists of 20 classrooms, two computer labs, science lab, a 16,000 volume multi-media library, learning support center, college resource center, and the “Parrot’s Canteen.” The new master plan adds a performing arts center, new art, music, and science classrooms, and a new administration building. The academic schools are organized around a new central courtyard with elementary on the ground floor and upper school on the second level, each with their own outdoor space.
