Located in the Pinheiros neighborhood of São Paulo, Tríade School welcomes infants and preschool children in a warm and nurturing environment that evokes the fond memories of our grandparents’ homes.
Housed in two historic residences dating from the 1950s and 1960s, the school has been reborn through a project that respects its past while embracing the future. The spaces were carefully adapted to strengthen the core pillars of Tríade School’s educational approach: Body and Movement, Sense of Self, and Language.
The renovation was guided by two main principles: integrating the indoor environments with the expansive outdoor play area and encouraging children’s autonomy, allowing them to explore and experience each space independently. Every design element was conceived so that the architecture would be not only functional but also educational, reflecting the school’s philosophy in every detail.
Special attention was given to the façade to communicate Tríade School’s new identity. Through a visual renewal, the brand now engages with its surroundings, signaling the school’s new phase and new name while preserving the sense of warmth and simplicity that defines it.
Children’s safety was a priority from the very beginning, guiding the selection of materials and design solutions that protect while preserving the freedom of movement that is so highly valued.
The playground features EPDM flooring, a large rubber surface that is permeable, heat-resistant, and designed to cushion potential falls. In addition, the flooring pattern incorporates the school’s brand colors, reinforcing a cohesive visual identity throughout the campus.
All furniture was custom-designed according to the specific needs of each environment. Children can easily access their materials and clearly identify the areas dedicated to different activities within their daily routine.
This project celebrates the school’s continuity in a space that is now safer, more integrated, and better prepared to inspire every young explorer who passes through it. Tríade School is, without a doubt, a place where growing and learning become a safe and enriching adventure.
