For our latest iteration for Trove named the ‘Haven Spa’, we envisioned a desert sanctuary that offers guest a holistic journey of self-healing and rejuvenation.
The design captures the serene beauty of the desert landscape, drawing profound inspiration from the undulating forms of sand dunes and the tranquil allure of an oasis. The ceiling’s rippling texture mimics the natural contours of wind-sculpted dunes, creating a soft, enveloping environment that echoes the serene vastness of the desert. These organic, flowing surfaces are complemented by the warm, earthy tones that dominate the space, offering a comforting and grounded atmosphere reminiscent of the boundless sandscapes.
Central to the spa’s concept is the striking use of blue hues, which symbolizes the life-giving presence of an oasis within this desert-inspired retreat. The layered, water-like forms on the surfaces evoke the peaceful ripples of a desert pool, providing a refreshing contrast to the surrounding sandy tones. This juxtaposition not only enhances the visual depth of the space but also embodies the harmonious coexistence of desert and water—an oasis of tranquility amid the endless dunes.
The corridors draped in rich, deep blue fabrics, create a winding, almost mysterious path of veiled entrances leading to the spa treatment rooms is an interpretation of the traditional Bedouin tents, evoking a sense of intimacy and seclusion deeply rooted in desert culture.
The spa succeeds in creating a tranquil sanctuary, where the simplicity and minimalism of the desert are artfully combined with the rejuvenating essence of water. It’s a space that invites visitors to experience a harmonious blend of natural elements, offering a peaceful retreat inspired by the timeless beauty of the desert landscape, and designed to rejuvenate both body and mind.
