TrtÍk's family house

The new family house with atrium is situated in soft prone ground, with other detached family houses. The building site was limited. The lot is surrounded with roads from three sides and the buffer zone of a stream interfere in the building site in the eastern corner.

The house is solitaire, with atrium, single-staged, without cellars.

The soft and fluent shape of external coat contents living space and it continues with cubic form of garage and technical rear. There is located the main entrance of the house between garage and the organic volume.

The inside plan is divided into three parts – the common space and two private parts with bedrooms. The character of those spaces is given by two atriums. The central atrium is a rectangle 5 x 7 meters; it creates a contrast with organic form of the house. The entrance hall goes fluently into a living room with kitchen and dining room. Remaining part belonging to the atrium is bedroom of parents that has maximal privacy, but still having contact with common space. The roof of the main part is inclined in the same angle into a central atrium. This forms a height difference between inside and outside edge of the object. The segment with children’s bedrooms is decreased with gradual steps and opened to eastern atrium.

The primary construction is masonry wall-system. The organic part is faced with aluminum plate and the cubed form has a coat of plaster.

The form of this object is a result of available part of plot and an investor’s demand for maximal privacy.
