A (two levels) family house with a large garage.
The main challenge was to have the house typology accept by urban administration. Indeed, the projet typology is not fitting to French urban rules, which tend to induce "4-sided" houses located in the middle of their plot at short distance from the limits.
Considering the site - a 700 sq meters plot of land with neighbors around -ARTELABO thought appropriate to think the house with a cross plan which sticks to the limits of the plot, with a large intimate central patio and real corner gardens. Having two sides against neighbors' plot limits is a challenge to urban norms, which authorize only one. To have the building permit accepted, the loophole was found in the status of one of the plots considered as a public path, not private land. The confident house is so called because it had to be to believe it can be built as it was not accepted by urbanism the first time, and named so also because it's typology is intimate and meant to keep safe all its owners secrets.
