This project was based on the dense urban design of an Ionian seaside village. This new village of twenty houses combined the use of elements and materials that contemporize the local architectural vernacular. The result was a scheme of narrow pathways and verandas reminiscent of the houses' historical precedent. The use of stone, timber and rendered plaster was an additional attempt at reconnecting with the local architecture. Views were maximized by utilizing the potential of the topography to the fullest, giving each house a unique view over the old town and beyond it to the sea.
