Villa SENSE is a project by ARK Architects, designed by architect Manuel Ruiz Moriche as an expression of bioarchitecture rooted in the specific conditions of its site.
The house emerges from a careful reading of the landscape, allowing topography, orientation, natural light, prevailing winds and existing vegetation to inform the architectural response. Rather than imposing a predefined form, the design adapts organically to the terrain, establishing a close and continuous relationship between the built environment and its surroundings.
Courtyards, the swimming pool and the central atrium are conceived in response to the natural geometry of the site, creating a sequence of spaces shaped by light, movement and landscape. These elements help organise the house while reinforcing the connection between interior and exterior.
Materiality, orientation and spatial configuration are developed with the wellbeing of the inhabitants in mind. Passive environmental strategies, natural light and carefully considered transitions between spaces contribute to a comfortable and balanced living environment throughout the day.
Villa SENSE reflects ARK Architects’ approach to architecture as a process of listening to the place. Every decision is guided by the landscape and by the way the house will be inhabited, creating an architecture that feels embedded in its setting rather than placed upon it.
The result is a residence that settles naturally into the terrain, allowing architecture and nature to coexist as part of the same continuous system.
