Waltz on the Cloud

Peny Hsieh Interiors as Architects

Life can be colorful and luxurious, or can be low key and simple. Yet, like brewing, only having the insight to move along with the passing time can one dislodge all the impurities in the tide of trend, becoming timeless.

In this case, the entire space is as if being soaked in the silence of gray scale. The unique feeling on the texture of various materials faintly emits an aromatic sweetness. Considering the freedom and comfort required in daily life, we make the ceiling, floor, and wall return to the simplest form. In addition to the neat verticals and horizons, only the contours of ceiling and particular walls are embellished with appropriate details by strips in slightly classic style. Then, an iron cabinet is set to divide the living room and dining room, and a movement route is thus set. In doing so, everyone can enjoy the heavenly light and four seasons outside the window in the public area.

On the border between spaces, the arch door, and the decorative end of the bedside in bedrooms, the smooth arcs extends as if the clouds in the heaven are moving in waltz steps. Such represents the fantasy on the dome in medieval times, as well as the everlasting richness beyond dimensions. Where people are hovering, playing, and standing still is like a light and fantastic sweet dream full of pleasure and romance that cannot be hidden.
