Located in Watermill, the heart of the Hamptons, a young family purchased this property to use as a comfortable weekend residence.The goal: to create a comfortable, light, and airy yet functional home for their family of five and their dog. They wanted the home functional enough so the kids could run from outside to inside without having to worry about sand, water and dirt. The fabrics and fibers are all natural and highly functional yet look very luxurious.

Featuring pieces from B and B Italia, Ligne Roset, Tod Van Mertens, Restoration Hardware, and Lawson-Fenning. A collaboration with Hourglass Advisory on the fine art selection by Jose Davila, Alex Prager, Christiane Feser and more, to mimic the sculptural nature of the furnishings.

The house in Watermill is Jessica’s second project for the Blanco family. After designing their NYC apartment, the summer home in Watermill began in Fall 2019, with the plan of being ready by Memorial Day 2020. When COVID happened, the family made a quick decision to leave NYC and make Watermill their permanent residence, with nothing more than mattresses on the floor and a decades old sofa in the living room. 

The family had to experience the arrival and installation of each and every item; and living through the process set a tone of appreciation for each element as it came to life. The David Weeks seven tier light fixture in the foyer was one of the first pieces to arrive, anchoring the home with a bold, sculptural presence.

Jessica prioritized the kids rooms, rushing them to readiness to give the family a grounded feeling for at-home schooling.  There were some emergency purchases but the final mix of antique and custom pieces is curated to highlight several incredible artworks.
