A VERY SPECIAL HOSTEL
On 5thSeptember 2014, the Swiss Youth Hostels opened the new wellnessHostel4000 in Saas-Fee. Its unique architecture and the direct access to the indoor swimming pool and the newly designed wellness and fitness area single it out as something very special.
The wellnessHostel4000in Saas-Fee provides a range of facilities and services aimed at active families and individual travellers. Thanks to its infrastructure, it is also specially well suited for sports groups. The typical, informal ambiance, the spacious communal rooms and the characteristically inexpensive Swiss Youth Hostels prices will be combined with swimming and wellness facilities to make a stay in Saas-Fee doubly attractive.
SIMPLICITY, COMFORT AND WELLNESS
Rooms with two to six beds provide the simple comfort that guests from all over the world have come to value at Switzerland’s youth hostels. The new offering includes six-bed rooms with showers on each floor, four-bed and family rooms with shower/WC, as well as double rooms with shower/WC. The breakfast and the admission to the indoor swimming pool is always included in the room rates. As an option, guests can also visit the sport and wellness area featuring various saunas, a steam bath, a whirlpool and diverse theme showers to fully enjoy the wet element with all the senses. In addition to the extensive offering, the location of the wellnessHostel4000is very impressive. Perfectly situated next to the imposing Fee Gorge, the large glass frontage of the hostel allows spectacular, close-up views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers and thereby provides a unique and highly authentic mountain experience.
INNOVATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE
In line with their philosophy, the Swiss Youth Hostels incorporate ecological aspects and social concerns into the construction and operation of their properties. For example, importance is attached to applying the highest ecological standards, fair prices and barrierfree accessibility for people with disabilities. The wellnessHostel4000is the first five-storey accommodation building to be built in Switzerland using timber construction. It reinterprets the local barn style in contemporary architectural design and will be a model for the future.
