Cascade Bungalows at Brasada Ranch
The Cascade Bungalows at Brasada Ranch are the newest luxury hospitality offering at this all-season family resort in Central Oregon. The bungalows are 16 new guest room experiences that bring a contemporary and bespoke approach to life on the ranch. The buildings are stepped with the topography and offer privacy for every unit and unobstructed views of the Cascade Mountains. Each Bungalow features a custom coffee bar, breakfast concierge service, locally sourced art and furnishings, a sunken living area with a fireplace, and a private hot tub and outdoor shower.

3deluxe develops an eco-friendly beach district using rammed earth construction
O gabinete de design alemão 3deluxe desenvolveu o conceito arquitectónico para um bairro de praia ecológico nos Emirados Árabes Unidos. O empreendimento Kalba Beach situa-se na costa leste da Área Metropolitana do Dubai e faz parte de um oásis urbano que se estende por mais de um quilómetro ao longo da linha costeira. A característica mais visível do projecto será a sua construção em terra batida, um material que está a ganhar popularidade entre os arquitectos e construtores preocupados com o ambiente.

Resort concept captures the textures and spatial patterns of a traditional village
At the foot of Mount Tai, the small village of Dongximen has been quietly declining as villagers have left over the last years. In an attempt to activate the village as a high-end resort, the LuShangGroup has introduced a new resort hotel. Called the Cloud of Hometown Resort, the resort design by gad line + studio captures the textures and spatial patterns of the original village in a contemporary way. While respecting the original site, as little design imposition as possible is made to naturally reveal the site.

Lighthearted and playful PokoPoko Club House emerges from the forest
Outside of Tokyo, Nasu Highlands is a lush farming region and urban escape dominated by Mount Nasu. PokoPoko by Klein Dytham Architecture is the playful result of the client’s desire to connect two hotel buildings and provide a new amenity on a lush resort site.

The client’s vision includes the extension and renovation of both existing hotel buildings and their rooms. This includes an original smaller guest house dating from 1986 and a larger later complex. The total number of rooms on site is 40. A new footbridge links the two hotel buildings and a new path meanders through the forest. It is here, that PokoPoko emerges to provide a family-oriented clubhouse and activity centre for hotel guests.

Treehouse concept drives the design for South Tyrol hotel extension
In Siusi, South Tyrol, Parc Hotel Florian has been expanded with ten new suites in a new stand-alone building. Designed by Noa* architects, the design brief was to connect the new build to the existing structure and preserve as the unique surrounding landscape, which includes ancient trees, an idyllic pond and outdoor pool.

To leave as much of the existing land as possible untouched, the new building is elevated on a series of three-meter high supports, leaving the grounds below fully accessible. The intellectual concept of the building as treehouse thus began to take shape.
