Thammasat University is an academic institution that has contributed to the reform of Thailand's socio-economic and political system throughout the eighty years of its history. The university has agreed to establish the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education to support Thailand's reform of the educational system. The faculty's objective is to support and educate teachers who will be leaders and agents of change in the academic sector. The project’s goal is for children to perceive school as a cozy place, rich in different experiences which are not only educational but also sensory and related to play, informal communication and movement.The design combines traditional Bulgarian folkloric elements with a natural and calm design which provides a blank space for students to express themselves. Small and private schools are succeeding by focusing their facility capital improvements in STEM and STREAM based initiatives.  St. Bede School in Pittsburgh’s East End advanced their curriculum with the design for new STREAM classrooms to provide modern learning spaces to advance a STREAM educational initiative. Included in the design is a new science lab, art lab, project center, and a research lab with an integrated ‘explore capsule’ for small group projects. The Oblates of Mary Immaculate founded St. Augustine School over one hundred years ago, at which time the school shared quarters with St. Augustine Church in a domed, three-storey, brick building located in the Kitsilanoneighbourhood of Vancouver. In 1951, the original school was demolished and replaced with what was to be a temporary, single-storey, wood-frame building. Sixty-four years later, a new three-storey, 300 student, 4,200 square metre, red brick-clad school and child care facility that features fifteen classrooms, a learning commons, multipurpose spaces and allowance for a new gymnasium occupies the compact site.
