Ventnor House
On a double plot, the client has decided to renovate and expand the existing construction to create three independent residences, two of which can be temporarily connected.

The existing building remains the same but interior updates are being carried out. Currently, the building consists of two residences, one on each floor. The upper residence will connect to the new construction via a bridge.

The new building will house a three-story residence. On the first floor, there will be a parking area shared by all three residences. On the second floor, you will find the living room, dining area, and kitchen, while the bedrooms will be located on the third floor.

This is a private house for a couple and their three children.
Many of the requests were specific, such as "a space where the entrance hall and the outside can be used as one", "a layout that allows communication with children from the kitchen", "a fun way to move between floors", and "a dining-kitchen like a bistro".
Therefore, we created a seamless space from the entrance to the third floor with no partitions, allowing people to peek into the house no matter where they are, and opening up the house to the outside, creating a borderless connection to the city. From the 4 meters land unevenness to the right and back side neighbor, the view which opens forward is relevant. This panorama establishes a kind of continuity between the treetop and the buildings shape from Vespasiano region.

As the residence occupies only half of a lot, a huge empty area on the right side makes able a direct contact to the exterior, where the whole house leans over. Therefore, the social areas get relationship with the landscape through a sequence of integrated spaces with a big pavilion that offers any living possibilities.
