Bankside Yards is a £2bn masterplan for the vibrant and animated London south bank. Set around Blackfriars station, it will blend residential, office and retail functions across eight new buildings, delicately intertwined around the historic context. In the center of Charleroi, the Maison de la Laïcité has been part of the city’s evolving cultural landscape for thirty years. Behind its striking bright red façade, it houses a large multipurpose hall whose acoustics had deteriorated to the point of rendering it unusable. The main aim of the project was therefore to address this issue.
