The Mediterranean has been the source of inspiration for a new project by In Out Studio. The boutique hotel is located in the heart of Extremadura and will have 3,700m2 designed and conceived as a place where you can disconnect and enjoy a wonderful natural environment. On April 16, 2016, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck to the coastal provinces of Ecuador, leaving several families homeless and jobless. The project seeks to reactivate the tourism of the zone called Tarqui based on a comprehensive approach in which established different facilities within the territory vulnerable taking into account the resilience capacity. Elva Hotel (The River Hotel) is a small hotel in Voss, Norway. Voss is renowned for its spectacular landscape and as a popular destination for outdoor and extreme sports enthusiasts. Peter Pichler Architecture designs sustainable Tree Houses in Dawson Lake, West Virginia ARCHITECTURE The Tree Houses will be an addition to a hotel and should create a new experience to live in the woods with a maximum connection to nature. The geometry with its sharp steep roof is inspired by the surrounding maple, poplar, and oak trees and will be made of local wood. The size of the units ranges from 35-45 m² on 2 levels. Fes Aquapark Complex is located in a 10000 square meter site near thermal bath fountains in Fes, Morocco. In the programming phase, we studied Fes vernacular architecture, climate, politics, history, and culture. We focused on the fundamental components of Fes and tried to design by using its characteristic elements. One of the most significant concepts derived out from Fes was the Maze, which refers to the chaotic infra-structure of the city. Another concept which contributed most to the design process was the hybrid character of the Morocco architecture affected by different cultures like Barbarians, Spain and Islamic countries. This is a boutique hotel located in Tengchong, Yunnan province, located on the edge of Tengchong County, nestled among hills, at the corner formed by two small roads. The bedrooms are all lined up and face the view. Total SpaceThe total ribbon space connecting independent hotel rooms and the courtyard is the main concept of this design. The elongated form of total space gives it a flexible function. Usually it can be divided into small and functional independent places. Clayton Korte transformed this site with six magnificent Live Oaks and its centerpiece 1888-vintage Victorian mansion (recognized by Austin’s Historic Landmark Commission as the Miller-Crockett House) into an oasis for one of Austin’s treasured boutique hotels. The design preserves the park-like space in the middle of the site in keeping with the original rhythms of the neighborhood.
