Aquatic Center in Marcinelle
Built in the 1960s, the Marcinelle Aquatic Center is undoubtedly one of the most iconic projects by architect Jacques Depelsenaire and a landmark of the city of Charleroi. Its bold architecture, closely intertwined with the surrounding landscape, has made it one of the most beloved places for the people of Charleroi.

The client’s request focused on renovating the pools as well as the large deck areas, which are organized in response to the site’s complex topography. The architectural proposal involves overlaying a grid across the entire existing pool. This grid is conceived as an evolving element that transforms as it encounters the distinctive geometry of Jacques Depelsenaire’s design.

The Baiyun Window
The Baiyun Window is located in the core business district of Baiyun New City, Guangzhou, with a height of 130m and a total construction area of 110,000㎡.
In combination with the regional environment, the overall layout is meant to being open to the city. City squares and commercial blocks were designed for the public, with a three-story staircase on the northeast side of the entrance, the sense of ceremony is emphasised. While Tower A mainly for retails, catering, conference centres and other office supporting services, Tower B serves as a residential zone, facing the best view of the Baiyun Mountains.
