The project was created and inspired by the adventures of Nelly Jelly, a popular children’s character in Lithuania. The main idea is the imaginary moon – a place where everything happens differently. The project includes areas for games, birthday rooms and active entertainment. The crematorium is located on a flat surface – in a field by the forest. Mass concept of the design is a rather sensitive manner – it represents a shallow hill risen from the surface. Crematorium is designed with a metaphor of a burial mound covered with white linen. The volume of the building and its access spaces are separated by embankments of the surrounding landscape. The structure of the roof is reminiscent of a ritual blanket that covers architectural volume and tailor it into surrounding ground. The site is based in Vilnius city, Naujininkai district, Brolių st. (en. Brothers). Due to its history and geographical location, the district features a significant concentration of social and economic issues such as poverty, lack of youth employment, and social exclusion among families and individuals. In recent years Vilnius City Municipality started reorganizing the Naujininkai district. Main goal is to regenerate and  connect it to the central part of the city.
