In collaboration with De Langen & van den Berg, we won the tender for 25 apartments.We designed a compact residential building with a smart layout. Seven apartments in three types are organized around a corridor with stairwells and lift.The compact shape ensures less facade surface and relatively little traffic space, and therefore lower construction costs and less heat loss in the winter and heating up in the summer.  VRP architecten bv The corridor is spacious and light and provides pleasant access to the apartments.The houses are life-resistant. Situated between Central Station and the Spui, next to the new Ministries of Foreign Affairs, stands De Kroon, a 131m high rise residential tower including office- and commercial space. The area is bounded on three sides by busy traffic arteries. The basic principles of the building design are based on the plot settings of the early American skyscrapers. An important reference for the building was the early high-rise typology of the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century in Chicago. The future residential complex is a bold vision of modern housing, which combines comfort, aesthetics and innovation. This project was very responsible for the INK Architects team not only in terms of functional and technological equipment, it was also important to create a comfortable environment that organically fits into the local historical cultural context of the capital of Uzbekistan. Upon their request, we created a bright and eclectic interior in which a very modern kitchen and a stucco fireplace, a bright blue sofa and a green seat in the hallway could be good for each other.The kitchen is strict and minimalistic, it will balance a rather bright and filled interior. On the apron there is a mosaic of Bisazza Halo-Halo, which is pricked by hand, and its graphic print was invented by the Italian designer Paola Navone.
