Caffè Sospeso

Located in the heart of Prizren , and sorrounded by many other cafés, Sospeso seeks to break the silence of monotony. Caffé Sospeso is deeply connected to coffee culture- its very name reflects an Italian tradition where someone pays in advance for an extra coffee for someone who cannot afford one. Though compact in size, the aroma of coffee fills the entire café, blending the sensory experience of the customer with the interior design. Modular house on a slope in Tarragona

Elevated on a slope overlooking the Mediterranean landscape of Tarragona, we find this spectacular modular concrete house. A total of 245 m² distributed over two floors in the shape of a notorious L that envelops the day area with swimming pool and garden. A completely bespoke project that arose from an activity organised periodically by Casas inHAUS: a One Day Project. The owners came to Casas inHAUS and for 24 hours they decided exactly what their home would be like according to their preferences. In just 1 day they were able to define what their future home would be like. They then relied on our team of architects and manufacturers to develop and execute the interior design and urbanisation project that would complete their home.... More

Terphouse Rotterdam

In the open polder landscape of dikes and small islands near Rotterdam, the Terphouse is situated as a solid volume on a mound in the landscape. The means used to make the house sustainable and ready for more extreme climate conditions became the main elements of the design, most apparent in the characteristic canopy and underground level with the protruding patios. Caption The house is dug in the artificial mound on the island, situating the living spaces on the first level and the bedrooms and secondary rooms underground. This makes that from the living spaces the open landscape is perceived over the dikes. By folding the landscape around the house, a connection with the garden is made possible and the house is perceived as a modest... More
