This project came to our studio in 2018 as a refurbishment, extension & interior modification project. A single storey old house on a plot size of 50’ x 80’ that was being used as an office space. The entrance patio was the reception, bedrooms were meeting/discussion/conference rooms and the store room worked as server room. The brief was to rework the interior & add one floor to function as extra workspace and a cafeteria. However when we did a structural assessment of the building, it was discovered that the slabs rested on columns, there were no beams! Being a global leader of digital transformation, Schneider Electric SE aimed to create an experience centre which can cater to the immersive digital experience for their customers. Our team at Rubenius adopted parametric modelling to execute this intricate yet riveting experience. @Rubeniusinterior @Rubeniusinterior We embedded the space with lights which are anamorphically placed to give a nuanced view of how energy travelled. We have used top notch devices which are functional and durable to integrate automation and IOT to the space. Design brief is to provide the dwellers a lifestyle living space, a valuable and well laid out space planning with out compromising light and ventilation. At the same time is to satisfy the alloweable built up area as per the norms. There are 60 dwelling units with necessary amenities, with 30 below and 30 above around the central courtyard.
