RC Crystal Park Tower

The concept of the Crystal Park Tower residential complex project is a combination of quiet nature and residential buildings near the park named after Pushkin in the center of the capital. Therefore, our task was to emphasize with light the natural component inside the residential complex, which makes it one whole with the surrounding park environment. We avoided excessive daylight, which contributes to the light pollution of the domain. At the same time, the warm tones of the lighting are selected in such a way that the building fits into the warm tones of the surrounding nature. Expolight Expolight Accent light reveals the corners of the building and makes it recognizable in the city panorama. We decided not to flood the entire... More

M Pavilion

M Pavilion is located in the lobby of an office building in Xuhui District, Shanghai, a coffee shop design commissioned by the Chinese famous coffee brand M Stand. In order not to disturb the daily operations of the building, we proposed two strategies at the beginning of the design process: a rapid construction and a light touch to the site. Then a delicate and decent scaffolding pavilion came into being. Fangfang Tian A Light Box  Be light. We hope to bring relaxation and joy to people in a rigorous working atmosphere through a light form. The heavy volume above is in sharp contrast with the slender structure components, and the translucent skin attracts people to walk in. Slightly cantilevered floor makes the light-filled box... More

The light fixture has a compact sectional size of 10mm*10mm, meaning it is ideal for installation in tight space. The flexible neon lights are mounted inside the recessed frames on the facade without appearing intrusive, casting indirect light over the greenery and making the gate stand out in darkness. More

Home Low

This Bondi residence underwent two seperate renovations, both of which were designed by Sydney's Catherine de Meur Interiors. The first part of the project encorporated a refresh of the ground floor, a renovation which included the kitchen, lounge, laundry and powder room.  The objective of Home Low Phase One was to freshen and update with a focus on lifestyle awareness and flow within the home. Home Low  Stage Two was a larger project incorporating the upper level of the house, inclusive of two bathrooms, three bedrooms and a multi-purpose dressing room / office. The client envisioned a tranquil and sophisticated space with a focus on texture and ease. This private residence features the Fizi Wall Sconce, a Fizi Triple Ball Penda... More

Flinders Residence

Lavishly endowed with glowing Australian timber and limestone, this home has a robust but luxe materials palette "from the earth", says Abe McCarthy of Abe McCarthy Architects. Abe collaborated with interior designer Alice Villella of AV-ID, custom builders Gstruct Group and landscaper Barber Design to establish this warm, inviting family home embedded in open pastures on the Mornington Peninsula.WHAT WAS THE CLIENT’S BRIEF?Abe McCarthy: We had worked with our client, a couple with a growing family, on two prior residential renovations. The essence of the idea of a dream home for them, a new build on the Flinders site, was conceived some years ago. Work began on an initial concept in 2013 to a brief centred on the creation of a family... More

Adela Apartments

The project came about with the development of a large residential block close to the Elwood foreshore and Port Philip Bay. The brief simply requested a spacious apartment product that was cutting edge and contemporary, but subtle both inside and out. The concept of a large apartment resulted in six single level dwellings, each with the proportions of a small house. The apartments are low maintenance, functionally adaptable to appeal to a range of potential residents, and highly sustainable. Externally, rather than go for a standard “stacked wedding cake” form, the building was set back significantly from the adjoining properties on the lower levels. This allowed the main volume of the building to have vertical sides and reduce... More

Cartel Contemporary

With lighting being the main factor in the look and feel of a space, our goal was to give meaningful change to the layout and highlight the architectural details of the room. Large spaces, such as multi-purpose rooms, require more attention to details and good lighting. For this project, it was very important to maintain versatile functionality while also being creative. With such a large space, we wanted to properly distribute our lighting so no matter what the space was used for, lighting would always be constant and functional.  Caption LED Lighting has a lifespan almost twenty times more than conventional lighting. Giving this space a cutting-edge in terms of maintenance and replacement costs because of the long-lasting quali... More

Portsea House

'A previously dated but solidly built 90’s style house with ‘good bones’ has been renovated with minimal structural changes but with a comprehensive interior design program. Our clients purchased a large, solidly built and well-located beach house. However, the kitchen was impractical, the large bar unnecessary and the finishes were colourful – the house had the sensibility of a 90’s office interior rather than a home near the beach. Our repeat clients trusted we would give the house a more relaxed and warm feel as well as creating practical spaces for a family that likes to cook and entertain.  As the house was quite large we had sufficient space to enlarge the kitchen and include the client’s sele...
