Beirut Arab University Beqaa campus

Concept Design — Master Plan Contract Signed April 2026. The project covers a 96,056 m² plot and accommodates 3,240 students across 8 faculties, with a total built area of 27,664 m². The design is organized around a single central pedestrian spine that runs the full length of the site, connecting all buildings, outdoor spaces, and the existing Beqaa campus across the road. Top 5 office buildings aligning with Paris-Proof carbon targets in the Netherlands

As the architecture and construction sectors work to reduce their climate impact, office buildings are increasingly being designed to meet energy-performance levels compatible with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. Often referred to as “Paris-Proof”, these targets require a substantial reduction in operational energy demand alongside a growing emphasis on lowering embodied carbon through material choices and construction methods.  Across Europe, a new generation of workplaces is demonstrating how these ambitions can translate into built form — from the deep renovation of historic structures to large-scale timber offices and highly efficient energy systems. The following projects highlight office buildings tha... More

Casa MAD

Casa MAD is a two-story residence in Costa Rica. It was conceived as a dialogue between architecture and the natural landscape. Rather than imposing itself on the site, the design embraces the existing trees, allowing the built form to adapt organically to their presence. The house unfolds around a sequence of internal, lateral, and frontal courtyards that bring light and ventilation into every space, creating an intimate relationship between interior life and the surrounding vegetation. Each courtyard becomes a pause — a moment where architecture and nature meet in quiet equilibrium. Green Tower Concepts

The design concept for a series of garden terraces in skyscraper office towers integrates sustainable architecture as a harmonious solution to urban density, environmental challenges, and occupant well-being. This approach envisions skyscrapers not only as vertical workplaces but as dynamic ecosystems that blend nature into the built environment through multi-level terraces, balconies, and green facades. Caption Caption Key elements of this concept include: Vertical Integration of Green Spaces: Cascading garden terraces are strategically incorporated at multiple levels to maximize green surface area without compromising floor space. These terraces serve as microclimates that regulate temperatures, increase shade, and reduce the... More

Office at the Water's Edge

Completed in 2024, the Office at the Water's Edge in Chiang Mai, Thailand, has been designed by Chiangmai Life Architects as a functional, sustainable workplace. This 290 square-meter office building integrates architecture with nature, its organic form following the line of the nearby pond. The design highlights a climate-conscious approach that supports daily use through natural materials and environmental integration. Markus Gortz Caption The building has a low or near-zero carbon footprint due to the use of bamboo and clay. Operational costs are reduced with efficient lighting and the high thermal mass of the walls, which regulate temperature and lessen the need for mechanical systems.   Bioclimatic strategies to lower... Infrax

This office building is located in a typical office and business development with the familiar rather banal contextual preconditions. In view of the programme, being a new office building with underground parking, a warehouse to be renovated and an intermediate car park, a plan layout was designed that was as efficient as possible.  ©Stijn Bollaert ©Stijn Bollaert A plan layout was designed that was as efficient as possible. Within this layout, we made sure to green as much surface area as possible. A transparent and second solar shield marks the entrance and the first two floors of the office. The sliding sun shutters on the top second floor provide a regularly changing appearance.
