Casa Alcañiz
The core concept centers on situating the primary living areas on the first floor, defined as a clean, white prismatic volume with expansive glazing. This upper level stands in stark contrast to the ground floor—a stone-clad plinth that anchors the structure. This stone wall welcomes the visitor at the entrance, winds beneath the house, and emerges to define the sunken courtyards (patios ingleses).

What presents itself today as a dwelling of pure, modern, and open lines is the result of a profound transformation that respects the essence of the past while embracing contemporary design. This single-family home is not a new build, though it may appear so at first glance. Its orig... More

A43 | MANERAS DE VIVIR
It all starts with a conversation in the studio. The clients want to renovate their home to suit their current way of living. Without so many partitions, without so many rooms, without conventional doors or endless corridors. They want a house where light floods everything, a warm house without compartmentalisation.

A simple complicity arises, we speak the same language. They trust us and let us know it. This trust allows us to project freely, to reflect on the different ways of living.

Vivienda en el Cabañal
This time, we sneak in a home in El Cabañal, on the top floor of a building from the late seventies which is surrounded by pitched roofs and courtyards. Almost like an intruder, it is erected oblivious to the traditional construction methods of the district. There we find metal beams and pillars supporting slabs made of concrete joists and ceramic vaults. A classic from that era.

In this little corner of the city, a young couple wish to bring light and joy into this changing space. With this purpose in mind, we embark on a project with an almost square layout. The windows are mainly oriented towards the south and the west, but also facing east and the sea. This will allow us to enjoy a... More

Apartamento Timbiras
Total renovation of a 60m2 apartment in the Lourdes neighborhood of Belo Horizonte.
Paula Brant
Our challenge was to work with a very compartmentalized plan. The idea was to reduce the compartments and increase the social area, with a large kitchen integrated with the living room.
Paula Brant
The windows were made of iron and were replaced by aluminum windows. The railings were changed and received a new design, a rereading of old railings, suggested by the owner.

Habitation à La Roqueta
The refurbished home is in a Valencia city centre building. Built around 1900, it has wooden beams and joists, ceramic vaults and solid brick walls.
After 1900, the building underwent full refurbishment in order to reinforce the original structure adding a metal reinforcement structure.
Germán Cabo
Our refurbishment will aim to bring all those hidden ribs of the building out into the open. Elements that for a long time were generally placed behind a false wattle ceiling due to the little aesthetic value they held. However, times and aesthetics have changed, and today we find no shame in showing them off as they are. We will take out the false ceiling and bring them into the light.
