Casa Entre Terrazas

"House Between Terraces" is a single-story family home located at the rear of an old family plot in San Antonio Buenavista, Toluca. The house stands as a contemporary reinterpretation of the client’s grandfather’s home—also a one-level dwelling organized around a central patio. In this version, that gesture evolves into a series of terraces and lateral gardens that surround and structure the home, providing privacy, natural light, and a continuous connection to the outdoors. Amy Bello The project began on a site with no privileged views or particularly attractive context, prompting the architects to create their own interior microclimate. The strategy was clear: to separate public and private areas with precision and... More

Rural School in Oaxaca

The project is based on thinking about what educational spaces should be like today. From this idea, we start by creating shade – a roof supported by a flexible, lightweight, and open structure that encourages interaction between people, nature, and architecture. The building adapts to the existing conditions of the site and connects the outside and inside by blurring their boundaries. In a playful way, the design opens up completely, letting the wind flow through, allowing filtered light to enter, and creating a stronger connection with the surrounding landscape. Casa PE

The wooded Sierra of Tapalpa, located in the state of Jalisco in western Mexico, is the ideal place to escape the daily routine of life in Guadalajara. Here lies Casa PE, a weekend residence designed by architect Andrés Escobar of AE ARQUITECTOS, conceived as a space to enhance family quality of life. It accommodates two families, each with private spaces, while the social areas, such as the dining room and living room, are shared. Lorena Darquea The main objective of the Villa Morena landscaping project was to preserve the atmosphere of being within the forest, which was developed in collaboration with the firm and the client. The relationship with the forest was one of the key design concepts, both architecturally and in term... More

Casa luz

Designing this house has been a process of a lot of learning, creativity and details, the main one was to design a house that felt completely proper for the inhabitants, who are a young and dynamic couple with three small children who need to grow up in a home that is all terrain and where they have no limits to feel free. All this linked in an elegant way, with a Nordic style, full of textures and some touches of color and many specific details for each of its users. Caption The house shows me with a blind facade to the outside, white with a long black sill planter and two entrances with black gates, vehicular and pedestrian, escorted by a jacaranda, access / parking with glass cover and metal beams, The main door of the house is fra... Edificio Turín

The project consists of four apartments, one per floor, each one having It’s own unique typology. At first the irregular shape of the plot seemed like an obstacle to creating a layout with habitable spaces, but we managed to use the odd shape to our favor by dividing each floor plan into two offset strips bound by the vertical circulations core.   This gesture allowed us to give the common areas of the apartments privileged views of the street while keeping the private areas on the inside, confined by two opposing courtyards that serve for natural lighting and ventilation.   The vertical and the horizontal circulations play an important role in the design, helping to separate public and private areas inside the apartment... Bacatete House

This project is governed by the idea of creating an urban home that transports you to a different place, away from the city, through a sensory experience. With this objective, we created an environment inside the property in which both the house and the outdoor spaces coexist and permeate the indoor-outdoor relationship. This was achieved by designing gardens that surround the house and create paths between nature and the building materials themselves, such as wood, stone, exposed concrete, carbon steel plate and glass. In this way, the outdoor paths, which although they are simple due to the property’s dimensions, delineate a shift away from the city. We used different materials with rich, warm, and primitive textures for the exterio... More
