Le Grand-Espace Sherbrooke is a landmark venue for the performing arts in the heart of downtown Sherbrooke. Dedicated to theatre, dance, circus arts, and productions for young audiences, it promotes cultural production and dissemination in the Eastern Townships in collaboration with the Jean-Besré Performing Arts Centre (CASJB). Although the new building shares a common forecourt with the CASJB, it has its own unique architectural identity and dedicated entrance. The main façade features an array of red hues, forming a distinctive urban beacon and a visual link between the performance hall and the city. The side and rear elevations clad in painted aluminium panels create a rhythmic composition that wraps around the building.... More

Commissioned by the chairman to commemorate his parents and ancestral home, Tianlai Art Museum transforms private memory into a public space for exhibition, set within its rural context. The original old house had deteriorated beyond repair, so a full reconstruction was chosen over renovation, giving the building lasting permanence to carry forward the family's bond with the land. Lee, Kuo-Min Lee, Kuo-Min Lee, Kuo-Min Lee, Kuo-Min Lee, Kuo-Min Initially conceived as a "Farmer's Museum," the design draws on rural imagery—bamboo hats, rice paddies, straw—not as literal forms but as a language translated into spatial and architectural composition, responding to land, labor, and time. Universal-Investment is a German financial services company and one of Europe's largest fund platforms. Its Kraków office occupies 3,000 m² in the High5ive building, with 300 workstations across two floors. Visitors arrive into a generous, café-like space with a wide choice of places to work, talk and meet — a deliberate inversion of the usual arrangement, where a reception is somewhere you wait rather than somewhere anything happens. Conference rooms and quiet, focused settings sit immediately alongside. The social areas were placed where the windows look out over the historic centre of Kraków. The design of WULU Garden, a 6,000-square-meter space in a mountain foothill in Lijiang, represents a profound exploration of integrating human-made spaces with pristine nature.Unlike urban landscapes, it blends seamlessly into nature, merging with the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, streams, and native woodlands. The core philosophy is a harmonious dialogue between the artificial and the natural. Rather than imposing a rigid design, the landscape is woven into the site. The original canal was preserved and restored to mimic a mountain stream, blurring the boundaries of the garden. The space is organized into three areas structured around the land's elevation and relationship with nearby architecture. Caption Caption Caption C... More

Many heritage renovations, villa or bungalow, tend to involve some degree of ‘blowing out the back’ to extend living space. The footprint of this two-storey heritage villa in Epsom, however, was capacious enough, and rather required the removal of a series of ground-floor building accretions that had been added to back of the house, and their replacement with a new dining room and veranda. Throughout the renovation, the aesthetic intrusion on the existing structure is slight, with the intention being to upgrade the home to contemporary living standards without compromising its charm. Casa Sombras begins with a poetic image: inspiration descends from the sky, alights in the library on the upper level, and travels through the house until it reaches the art studio, where it takes form in the hands of its inhabitants. Conceived as a body with a mind and a heart, the house transforms an elevation change of more than 15 meters into a sequence of contemplation, rest, and creation. César Belio César Belio César Belio Located in Cerro del Vigía, on one of Zihuatanejo’s highest hills, the residence opens toward the bay and the Pacific Ocean. The project was conceived as a permanent home for a couple involved in creative disciplines who, after living in different cities across Mexi... More

The way we engage with people will likely be completely altered after COVID-19. When designing for social interaction, the elimination of boundaries has always been the key intention; yet today we are increasingly surrounded by barriers. Rather than shutting down public spaces under social distancing protocols, what can we do so people can enjoy something as simple as sitting in a park next to a stranger? New Office Works Brief Encounters consists of two simple components: a steel frame and a transparent sheet. An accordion system is used to create partitions by moving frames around a central pivot point. Such a method allows flexibility in the spaces in between partitions, while also providing a compact solution for transportation an... More

The beauty of nature is its ephemeral quality, its ceaselessly evolving state, the movement of water and wind, the changing of light and shadow - all these reveal the presence of life. For this year’s PMQ Christmas installation, Bubbly Christmas captures this ever-changing quality of nature with a radically different kind of tree, one that highlights the relationship between people and the fundamental elements of nature – air, light, water, and plants. New Office Works New Office Works New Office Works The installation is composed of thirteen trees, arranged in a triangular layout and gradually increasing in height from 1.1m to 3m toward the Aberdeen street entrance. Superflux is excited to announce the opening of a new solo exhibition at Weltmuseum Vienna. Entitled “The Craftocene,” the show unfolds across three rooms, bringing together three major works for the first time: the multispecies banquet Refuge for Resurgence (2021), ongoing explorations into river intelligence Nobody Told Me Rivers Dream (2025), and a new commission for Weltmuseum, Relics of Abundance (2026). Displayed alongside artefacts from the museum’s collection, these works reflect five years of studio research into the complex, interconnected challenges of our time, positioning ecological reconciliation as a condition for societal transformation, and the irreducible intelligence of the living world as a source of h...
