A Landscape Project in Almaty

This is archivizCV's first project, and it would not have been possible without Charles Phu's trust and support from the outset. A London-based architecture firm handled a landscape project in Kazakhstan — a cross-border collaboration that reflects the profile of our regular clientele. This project coincided with National Day of China, when everyone was on vacation. Our most frequent collaborating team would have faced risks undertaking the project alone. archivizCV archivizCV Despite the tight timeline, we proposed bringing in another team, backed by five years of collaboration with Team B's lead and knowing her professionalism and reliability. After presenting their portfolio and securing client approval, we moved forward... More

Dream City

Location: Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan Type: Residential complex Scale: 77 483 m2 Stage: Construction   A residential complex of slender rows of vertical towers executed in the high-tech style. Transparent glass covers the surface of the facades, while a minor protrusion of the walls enriches the plasticity of cubic form, creating a chiaroscuro of the surface. Design of Telli bio-boutique, Almaty

The interior design for Telli was inspired by Almaty itself, which is also known as the “City of Apples”. Apple trees are of great importance to locals here and we wanted to work with this concept by making the apple tree a key symbol of the design. The large, wooden oak feature found within the space is representative of an apple tree and is supposed to connect different spaces of the boutique such as the shop with relaxation areas and the gallery. Just like the tree connects these distinct areas, it also becomes an abstraction in itself, as it is made out of individual elements or branches that become one tree, giving the space more of an organic feel. Meanwhile, the locally-sourced wood was used to aesthetically tie all these varying ele... More
