Astronomy and Space Science Gallery
Architecture here becomes a cosmic instrument.
Conceived as a spatial embodiment of the solar system, the Astronomy and Space Science Gallery transforms abstract astronomical phenomena into an immersive, navigable experience. A luminous central void acts as the sun, anchoring a constellation of orbiting galleries that choreograph the visitor’s journey from the familiar to the infinite. At its core, a spherical planetarium appears to levitate above an amphitheatre, collapsing structure, spectacle, and learning into a single architectural moment—where science is not merely observed, but physically inhabited.

Desert Pearl Residence
In the hot, dry desert with mountains in the background sits a cool white pearl, like a mirage in the landscape. The client – an artist and astronomer – requested a home integrating a workshop, art gallery and telescope dome. Although half its area is a workshop, the residence did not split into a living/working duality; an exhibition gallery blends the two programmatic spaces. The main staircase intersects a corner of the room, making interaction with the works of art intertwined with circulation through the house. Blossoming like a desert flower, large doors open into the central courtyard where a curved canopy with translucent acrylic filters the harsh sunlight. Tumut Community Labyrinth
This site-specific labyrinth, created as a gift to a small regional town in Australia, enhances the quality of its public domain, invites participation by all and promotes the civic life of the town. It is truly of its people and place - a local charitable trust had the vision, provided the funding, and sourced local contractors and materials while the local council donated the land.
