For their innovative BackTris retail shelving concept, the creative shopfitters from Austria chose the GRID System as their central and pivotal building block to achieve a modular product display system with the ability to build in all dimensions, no matter the height or width of the shop or product display. Caption Schweitzer Ladenbau needed a furniture and display system that could double as shelving and creative display, marrying aesthetics with functionality. After the big success of their first shop, the two friends decided to open a second French bakery right next door to the offices of Saguez & Partners. Cookbook Bake

Liqui were approached by Cookbook Bake with regard to designing bookshop interiors. The brief required an adaptable store design which would predominately be a cookbook shop but that could also be used to hold cooking classes. The clients already had a broad collection of characterful furniture that they wanted to use, and Liqui were tasked with creating a retail interior design that would compliment these existing pieces. Gaudenti 1971 is a new format that mixes the small, Italian fine pastry shop with a large international bakery. This was the starting point to define a space that could convey both respect for the traditional values of Italian culture and a strong drive for renewal. This premise translated into a careful renovation of existing elements, which were systematically integrated into the new decor.
